VERTEX was retained as the damages expert on behalf of Owner to price various repair options for defective design and/or construction components relating to the R&D Building 3 expansion building on the Hach campus. VERTEX’s scope of work included the production of four separate cost of repair estimates for scopes of work including mitigation, repair, installation of a structural slab system, and complete tear down and rebuild. VERTEX’s analysis included a review of incurred costs for mitigation efforts performed by Owner, original and current construction costs, and a standard of care analysis of the general contractor. VERTEX produced reports and reviewed Owner received bids to perform work at the Project. VERTEX also produced a virtual damage map demonstrating extent/degree/location of observed damage with photos and measurements recorded on site.
