May 2, 2024

We are excited to announce a three-part webinar series focusing on the ever-evolving landscape of PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) from three critical perspectives: insurance, litigation, and due diligence. As organizations worldwide grapple with the challenges posed by PFAS contamination, understanding these perspectives is crucial for effectively managing risks and ensuring compliance.

Here are the details of the PFAS webinar series:

Part 3: PFAS in Transactional Due Diligence

Date: Thursday, June 20, 2024
Time: 12:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Duration: 1 hour

Speakers: Genevieve Reynolds, Technical Director – Due Diligence at The Vertex Companies, LLC, and Andrew Cooper Partner at DLA Piper

The recent announcement of the addition of two PFAS compounds, PFOS and PFOA, to the list of CERCLA-identified hazardous substances has led to significant uncertainty in the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and transactional due diligence process. New PFAS-related concerns may mean new RECs – and may also mean re-opening of previously-closed sites. VERTEX and DL Piper will discuss the current state of PFAS in transactional due diligence, with a focus on our recent experiences with PFAS-related concerns identified during the due diligence process, and our view of how PFAS-related concerns are likely to be approached moving forward.
