West Coast Casualty’s Construction Defect Seminar is one of our favorite events of the year. Members of Xpera’s leadership team (now at VERTEX) have been attending this “can’t miss” industry conference for 25 years and counting.
Like everything else, the event was shelved in 2020 due to the pandemic. We were thrilled that our friend Dave Stern, President of West Coast Casualty Services, was able to bring the in-person event back for 2021.
This time, WCCCDS was held in early-October (rather than the usual May), and was in an exciting new location – at the Aria Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas (instead of the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim).
The Xpera team was able to attend alongside our VERTEX colleagues for the first time. We enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with our clients and industry colleagues, build new relationships and share the many new capabilities and areas of expertise we are able to offer now as a VERTEX Company. We also brought back our tradition of sponsoring the popular evening cocktail reception.
What makes this annual event so special? Stern describes the event best:
