VERTEX served as Owner’s Project Manager for the new Alma del Mar Charter School in New Bedford. The original facility, a 100-year-old former public school building, had seen no significant investment and was insufficiently sized to accommodate the increased student load. VERTEX spearheaded the strategic evaluation undertaken to determine the best option for the school. After considerable analysis, Alma del Mar decided to build a new school on the existing site and demolish the original school to provide future playfields. Site development involving traffic flow improvements and a new parking lot were included in the project.
