VERTEX provided consulting services and construction management services on the Surety’s behalf for the construction of a new fire station and new fire station headquarters building for the St. Tammany Parish in Slidell, Louisiana. The headquarters consists of a 2-story office building equipped with an elevator and back-up generator system in addition to standard building systems. The exterior consisted of a stucco/brick/CMU finish, TPO roof, and storefront glazing system. The fire station consisted of one engine bay and kitchen/sleeping quarters for the department. The entire fire station was approximately 5,600 SF. VERTEX’s scope of services included construction relet, conducting weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings, managing construction progress, and subcontractor completion, submitting payment requests, processing payment, project closeout, and other construction administration services.
