VERTEX is serving as the Owner’s Project Manager for the Town of Natick, in partnership with the MSBA, for the new John F. Kennedy Middle School Project. The new John F. Kennedy Middle School will consist of a four-story building on the existing campus which will house grades 5 – 8. The new building will be constructed in between the JFK Middle School and the Brown Elementary school and require a complex phased construction. The project will include new roadways, parking lots, playing fields, and outdoor trails for both schools to utilize. In addition, there will be a lot of wetlands reclamation required which will factor into the phased construction approach. The educational program includes a Virtual Reality Lab, Aquaponics, Greenhouse, and Planetarium space to be shared by all grades. The individual classrooms will be heavily integrated with the latest technology and advance learning equipment.
