Vertex worked on the civil and structural design of a new 15,000 s.f. retail building in Monument, Colorado. The work performed as part of this 2.16-acre site development included: the completion of environmental due diligence, site layout design, and construction oversight management for the new building. Also included in the scope of work were the associated exterior site improvements. During the development, the Vertex team was involved with managing communications during public hearings, Planning Commission meetings, and the County Board of Commissioners meeting.
There were many unique design elements at the site including the design of an underground detention system, El Paso County Right of Way Improvements, water main extension, and coordinating grades to match the existing curb cut from Baptist Road.
