VTX was requested by a surety to assist in reviewing and analyzing multiple projects in various states of completion for a General Contractor who was having financial difficulties and eventually filed for bankruptcy. VTX assessed the status of several ongoing projects, prepared multiple cost to complete reports, and prepared an overall financial analysis.

Costs of overseeing the roadway, one of the busiest in Simcoe County, was downloaded by the province to the county in the nineties. This project involved the ratification of subs and vendors as well as coordinating/sourcing of replacement subtrades to complete the contract. The work was located on a major highway and included paving, storm water, culvert work and landscaping. During the completion of the project, VTX had to address numerous deficiency items and handle warranty issues for the year following the project’s completion, as per the original contract specifications.
