VERTEX was retained by a surety client to review the status of work at a Wastewater Treatment Plant project in Miami, Florida. The scope of the work consisted of furnishing multiple 54” underground pipes, new sluice gates, and weir plates, as well as a flume modification to the oxygenation trains. The work also comprised of restoring and coating the existing weir walls and flume floors with epoxy, as well as modifying the existing weir wall structures and building new platforms for the new sluice gates for the trains.
VERTEX provided construction monitoring services for several months until the project was substantially complete. VERTEX services included the initial investigation activities, various cost and schedule analyses, review of subcontractor and vendor invoices, managing collection of contract funds for the surety, and other consulting activities as requested by the surety.
