VERTEX is currently engaged in providing structural engineering design services for this new Four Seasons Resort Hotel in Cayo Largo, Puerto Rico. The resort site consists of 140 guest rooms clustered in two- and four-unit buildings spread throughout the site. Other low-rise buildings will include the lobby, ballroom, associated public ancillary spaces, back of house, parking facilities, golf club house, beach “shacks” and swimming pools.
The building structures will consist primarily of cast-in-place concrete to meet hurricane wind loads. VERTEX’s past experience with RAL Development Services along with their extensive experience with resort hotels and expertise in concrete design was key in being selected to serve as the structural engineer of record for the project.
