The OCA is dedicated to promoting ethical practices and professionalism among claims professionals. Their mission emphasizes inspiring public confidence through fair dealings, conducting unbiased investigations, and delivering high-quality service to both claimants and the companies they represent.
The event kicks off with a series of educational seminars, allowing attendees to earn continuing education credits. Sessions include a four-hour Law and Ethics Update Course as well as various breakout discussions covering topics such as flooring claims, damage assessment, fraud detection, and subrogation strategies. In between sessions, participants have the opportunity to engage with vendors in the Exhibit Hall, exploring resources and services that support claims professionals in their work.
Following the educational portion, the event transitions into a cook-off competition, where teams compete by preparing their best ribs, chicken, and side dishes. Attendees can sample a variety of BBQ flavors, vote for their favorites, and enjoy live entertainment. This unique combination of professional development and social engagement fosters meaningful connections within the claims industry.
