VERTEX will participate in the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Construction Law Section Winter Program, taking place on February 19, 2026, at the North Carolina Bar Center in Cary, North Carolina. The program brings together construction law practitioners to examine evolving project risks and practical strategies for navigating change across the construction lifecycle.
Jason J. Ligon, CFE, and Philip W. Snyder, P.E., both with VERTEX’s Claims, Disputes & Investigations (CDI) practice, will deliver a presentation on “Working with Experts: Delay Claims and Damages,” scheduled for 1:20 PM. They will share insights informed by their extensive experience in forensic consulting, schedule analysis, and damages evaluation. Catherine Pierce, MBA, Senior Managing Director of Growth Strategy within VERTEX’s Claims, Disputes & Forensics group, will also attend on behalf of the firm.
This year’s program, The Only Constant is Change: Dealing with Delays, Funding Disruptions, Design Issues and Other Changes, offers practical guidance for attorneys navigating the wide range of project challenges that arise throughout the construction lifecycle. Sessions focus on delays, evolving federal funding priorities, bankruptcy and receivership risks, changes to the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program, and best practices for partnering with experts on delay and damages claims.
VERTEX’s participation supports our commitment to providing clear, technically grounded expertise to the legal and construction communities, particularly on matters involving claims, disputes, and project performance.
