Andrew L. Sargent, a Senior Director in Vertex’s Contract Claims practice, specializes in resolving complex construction disputes involving critical path method (CPM) scheduling delays and productivity impacts. Mr. Sargent’s proficiency in preparing claims and expert reports is well-regarded, addressing issues like schedule delays, productivity loss and disruption impacts, quantum/damages, and more. His experience spans various project types, providing a broad spectrum of knowledge in construction disputes. Mr. Sargent has testified at trial, and he consistently offers his expertise to clients engaged in all dispute resolution forums.
Driven by a passion for untangling complex construction disputes, Mr. Sargent has emerged as a leading expert in critical path method (CPM) scheduling and construction delay analysis. He frequently shares his insights at industry conferences and has been recognized for his expertise in numerous publications, including being named to Civil + Structural Engineer magazine’s Rising Stars list in 2019. His commitment to client success and deep understanding of construction disputes make him an invaluable asset to Vertex and its clients.
Having joined Vertex in 2012, Mr. Sargent previously served in Vertex’s Surety division aiding clients in turning around distressed construction projects. It was in this role that Mr. Sargent identified the keys to successfully navigating construction disputes – particularly as it relates to schedule delays and disruption-related inefficiencies.
Prior to joining Vertex, Mr. Sargent attended Cornell University where he graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.Eng in Engineering Management.
