Exploring BU’s Urban Campus with VERTEX: SCUP 2024

March 19, 2024

VERTEX invites you to join us for the Society for College and University Planning’s (SCUP) 2024 North Atlantic Regional Conference “The River’s Edge: Boston University Tour” taking place March 24-26th in Boston, MA.

This conference will explore the constraints and opportunities of a place-based educational experience for students in the Boston and surrounding region.

Join VERTEX’s Christopher Kenney, Mike Quinlan and Douglas Russell for the River’s Edge: Boston University Tour on March 26th, to get a closer look at Boston University’s (BU) Urban Campus. VERTEX is excited to have collaborated on this tour to highlight three distinct projects that exemplify the power of place, and subsequently projects VERTEX played a pivotal role on during construction.

On this tour participants will visit the Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre and Plaza for innovative design, the Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground for adaptive renovation, and the Center for Computing and Data Sciences for interdisciplinary collaboration and sustainability.

Additionally, students will learn about innovative architectural design elements, sustainable practices, and the transformative potential of adaptive reuse. They will also see how intentional design fosters interdisciplinary collaboration.

Secure your spot today and join us and our associates for an engaging tour that promises to ignite inspiration and spark dialogue on the future of educational environments. Do not miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and explore the vibrant heart of Boston University with VERTEX.

We look forward to seeing you there!
