VERTEX was retained as a delay and damages expert by counsel for a general contractor in a dispute with its plumbing subcontractor on two projects in Denver, Colorado. One project was a new five-story, 96,000 square foot assisted living and memory care facility. VERTEX performed a forensic schedule analysis to determine delay allocable to the subcontractor and associated delay damages. VERTEX also evaluated entitlement and quantum for supplementation, completion, and corrective work costs incurred by the general contractor. The other project was a new 73-unit five-story residential building, with a concrete podium garage and four levels of stick-framed apartments above the podium. VERTEX evaluated entitlement and quantum for completion and corrective work costs incurred by the general contractor. VERTEX issued expert reports for each project and the matter was settled at mediation.
