Medford Ambulatory Surgery Center

VERTEX performed Lender’s Construction Monitoring Services for the partial renovation work at Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford that is being used as a new ambulatory surgical center. The project involves the renovation of approximately 16,600 square feet of interior space on the first three levels of the five-story building, as well as various exterior work. New interior spaces included nurses’ stations, a café, gift shop, and multiple medical support spaces, among others. Exterior work included a new terra-cotta rainscreen system, aluminum storefront system and roofing assembly, as well as a new plaza area at the north portion of the building and other site improvements.

VERTEX was responsible for attendance of OAC meetings, review of Contractor’s payment applications and Owner’s draw requests, consulting on change orders, and monitoring the Contractor’s schedule adherence, progress, quality of workmanship and safety on-site.
