In 1995, the founders of VERTEX had the vision of creating a new type of company that offered traditional AEC services along with forensic consulting. VERTEX is proud to have realized this vision. Read more about some of our milestones below.
VERTEX founded in greater Boston, Massachusetts.
VERTEX opened offices in New York City and San Francisco.
VERTEX opened offices in Denver.
Tetra Tech, Inc. (TTEK: Nasdaq) acquired VERTEX (Management-led buyback in 2005).
VERTEX established an international teaming arrangement with three multinational technical service firms.
Management-led VERTEX buyback. VERTEX established operations in Washington State and northern California.
VERTEX established operations in Florida.
VERTEX established operations in Texas.
VERTEX opened VERTEX Ingenieros Consultores S. de R.L. de C.V. in Mexico. VERTEX established operations in Michigan.
VERTEX acquired McGlamery Engineering Group, LLC. VERTEX opened regional offices in Chicago, Newark, NJ; Raleigh, NC; and Philadelphia area.
VERTEX acquired TCS. VERTEX opened offices in Los Angeles, Boston, and Japan.
VERTEX opened offices in Washington D.C. and subsidiary, VTX Consulting Services Inc., in Toronto, Canada. In December, VERTEX became an ESOP organization, offering ownership stake in the company to the employees.
VERTEX opened an office in Hawaii.
VERTEX celebrated 20 years in business. VERTEX opened offices in St. Louis, Atlanta and Houston.
VERTEX acquired Optistar Technologies. VERTEX eclipsed 450 employees.
Koch Environmental (Denver) joined VERTEX to expand Industrial Hygiene & Building Science services.
VERTEX partnered with the University of Colorado, Denver to further our Lifetime of Learning philosophy.
Compass Project Management, LLC. joined VERTEX to expand Owner’s Project Management services. Compliance Environmental International (CEI) joined VERTEX to expand services to the Healthcare industry.
VERTEX celebrates 25 years in business. Xpera Group joined VERTEX to expand our Construction, Forensics, and Quality Assurance services on the West Coast.
VERTEX forms Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council.
Lockwood, Kessler & Bartlett, Inc. joins VERTEX to expand our Engineering Design and Construction services on the East Coast. Wind Point Partners invests in VERTEX. As a Chicago-based private equity investment firm, Wind Point partners with top caliber, middle market businesses, with a clear path to value creation.
Neptune Fire Protection Engineering LLC of Jacksonville Beach, Florida joins VERTEX to expand our Engineering and construction management specialties as well as our forensics solutions.
Fulcrum joins VERTEX expanding our organization’s suite of construction consulting solutions and augments North American presence.
Breakwater Forensics joined VERTEX is July 2023. Breakwater’s areas of expertise include commercial damages, forensic accounting, fraud investigations, business valuations, government contracts, construction contract claims (delay and disruption), intellectual property and insurance. As of December 2023, Breakwater was fully integrated with VERTEX, offering expert and forensic services globally. Breakwater Forensics LLC joins VERTEX
VERTEX acquires TriLogix Consulting, LLC to expand our construction project controls services. TriLogix is a highly respected construction claims, scheduling, and risk management firm that is based out of New Jersey and offers its services throughout the United States.
VERTEX acquires CBBG Group Construction Expert Services, Ltd. This acquisition expands the companies suite of global solutions across the EMEA for attorneys, general contractors, sureties, construction lenders, and financiers. CBBG is a highly respected construction expert services firm with specific expertise in construction disputes and arbitration, including delay claims, disruption claims, quantum, expert determination and technical consulting.
VERTEX acquires LitCon Group, LLC, a leading firm in financial analysis, forensic accounting, construction consulting, and eDiscovery. LitCon specializes in expert services for construction disputes, government contracts, insurance claims, and commercial litigation, providing expertise in delay analysis, damages, and litigation technology. This partnership enhances VERTEX’s global forensic and technical consulting capabilities.
