Mr. Faria is a Consultant III in VERTEX’s Tampa, Florida, office. He has earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the School of Mines of the Federal University of Ouro Preto in Brazil.

Mr. Faria has a background in Construction, Engineering, and Project Management, in multiple disciplines across the full construction lifecycle. He brings knowledge of infrastructure and superstructure construction, project specifications, code requirements, industry’s best practices, civil engineering, and field work. Mr. Faria has worked on construction and design of residential & multi-family buildings, retail stores, and site development. In addition to his technical background, Mr. Faria is experienced in construction administration duties such as punch-lists, quality control and assurance, and commissioning procedures – as well as reviewing submittal packages, RFIs, change orders, additional services, close-out, deficiencies, and compliance. Mr. Faria’s work has involved commercial, residential, and government projects in the United States and well as Brazil, places where he gained experience with professional engineers, architects, consultants, contractors, and owners.

Mr. Faria has managed the Construction Quality for the expansion and site development for two national cemeteries for the Department of Veterans Affairs in the State of Florida, which involved planning, inspecting, reporting all areas regarding quality in multiple trades – providing recommendations, and value engineering solutions. He has also worked on the structural rehabilitation of the Herbert Hoover Dike in Florida for the US Army Corps of Engineers providing engineering expertise to the construction quality teams.
