VERTEX to Attend the 2024 ABA Section of Public Contract Law Annual Meeting

VERTEX is pleased to announce that Johnathan Rice, Executive Vice President of Contract Claims, will be attending the ABA Section of Public Contract Law Annual Meeting from August 1-3, 2024, in Chicago, IL at the Marriott Magnificent Mile Hotel. This event is a key opportunity for legal professionals in the procurement sector to stay updated on developing issues and engage with influential stakeholders.

The annual meeting will feature six CLE programs, focusing on a variety of critical topics in public contract law, including:

  • Noncompliance issues that occur outside of the False Claims Act
  • The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP)
  • Recent changes to the SBA’s mentor-protégé program and the increased interest in the creation of mentor-protégé joint ventures
  • Domestic Preferences, including the Buy American Act
  • Recent trends in structuring procurements
  • Cyber Incident Response

These sessions will be led by experts from private practice, government, and industry, offering a comprehensive view of the current legal landscape in public contracting.
