VERTEX provided comprehensive fire alarm design from concept to completion for Jacksonville’s newest signature project: the Jacksonville Jaguars Performance Center. Spanning approximately 125,000 sq. ft., this state-of-the-art facility serves as the main practice venue, performance and wellness center, and fan viewing area for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The center encompasses four main areas—Indoor Practice Field, Performance Center, Jaguars Personnel and Staff Office, and Grandstands—each presenting unique challenges for fire alarm design. To address these challenges, VERTEX developed detailed fire alarm system engineering criteria and served as the Engineer of Record for the project. This included close collaboration with the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to ensure the fire alarm system met all necessary codes and received full approval.
Throughout the project, VERTEX delivered exceptional value and resources to the fire alarm contractor, the general contractor, the building owner, and all other stakeholders. We assisted the fire alarm contractor in producing precise shop drawings, which included detailed device layouts, wiring and conduit layouts, fire alarm details, and necessary calculations. VERTEX supported the building owner by acting as a third-party inspector, ensuring that the fire alarm system was installed correctly and compliant with all applicable codes.
