Executive Vice President, Construction
Douglas Russell is an Executive Vice President for VERTEX. He has a Massachusetts Construction Supervisors license (unlimited). Mr. Russell is experienced in Design, Design Management, Construction Management, Owner’s Project Management, Construction Defect Claim, Investigation, and Property and Casualty Claim Investigation. He is an extremely methodical individual who excels in large challenging projects requiring leadership and organization.
Mr. Russell has provided Owner’s Project Management services on numerous private client projects acting as the Owner’s Representative. Services included oversight of the work performed by the project designer and contractors. Recent projects include retail, mixed use, high-rise residential, 40B affordable housing, public, commercial office, new construction, historical renovation, addition/renovation. In many of these projects, Mr. Russell assisted the clients in all phases of the design and construction process including entitlements, permitting, estimating, space planning, budgeting, risk assessment, pro-forma financial reporting, designer selection and procurement, project programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, contract negotiations, value engineering, construction administration, tenant and landlord coordination and FFE procurement and coordination.
